Business Development Program For Women

Women have always actively participated in their local economies; their jobs were regarded as “extra income” for family survival or simply to improve living conditions. Furthermore, women-owned microenterprises have been viewed as a means to meet basic needs rather than a profitable source of income. Access to capital and financial services is one of the most important aspects of micro-entrepreneurship. Microfinance may be a solution to assist them in extending small loans to run their micro-enterprises. The formation of Self-Help Groups is the primary driver as well as an essential component of the microfinance-based credit delivery system.

Microfinance

The program’s main goal is to empower women in small-scale industries. Mentoring them to help them become successful female entrepreneurs. Giving them lessons in business development as well as advice on saving and investing. Through community health programmes for women’s health, DCDF not only provides microloans but also educates women on various aspects of their health.

“About 100 women received microloans from DCDF over the past three years.”

“Through educating them on the importance of saving, we were able to transform more than 1000 women into financially literate women.”
